Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40 Riflescope (Matte, BDC) Review

I needed a good hunting rifle scope for my 30-06 that I was taking on a mule deer hunt in Wyoming.Replaced a 4x Leopold.After a lot of research on line and in stores, decided on this Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40.Only wanted to spend about $150, but wanted the best scope that $150 could buy.The BDC (bullet drop compensator) was a bonus.Saved about $20 buying on Amazon.com with free delivery and no sales tax.What a difference it makes to have a good quality rifle scope to go along with my Nikon Monarch binoculars. Amazon.com is my favorite on-line store.Good selection, good service, easy returns, good quality and almost always free and quick delivery.

The Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40 riflescope has what it takes to accommodate almost any hunting style, including enough power for the longest shots and a wide field of view for thick brush and timber. Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x40 Riflescope Review

This scope is awesome. I was bore sighting it at dusk and was aiming at the top of a fence post about 100 yards away. It was getting hard to see it with my eyes because of light was low, but the scope seemed to double the amount of available light. My dad is a hard core Leopold guy, but after seeing this, he thinks this is the best scope he has ever seen. I would have to agree.
Now the bad news, I found this scope on Ebay for much cheaper than what Amazon was offering. I had some Amazon gift certificates I had to use so I opted to pay more, but if you are looking into this scope, check ebay first as it has much better pricing. (Unless you can get the Amazon vendor to match an Ebay price).

Nikon Omega 3-9x40 Muzzleloading Riflescope (Silver, BDC-250) Review

For the price, this is one of the clearest scopes I have usedso far. The finish matched my Knight Muzzle Loader perfect.If it works out in the field as well as it does at the range, I will be getting another for my other Rifle.

Nikon ProStaff 3-9x50 Riflescope (Silver, Nikoplex) Review

This is another great product from Nikon.
I already have several in use, but have only mounted this one on my new Savage Model 93 rifle.
It looks really good on the stainless steel receiver and sets off the whole outfit really well.
One note, when ordering or buying the rings to mount, be sure and get the ones that will handle a 50mm objective lense. My first attempt did not work.

Leupold RX-1000 TBR Digital Laser Rangefinder Review

Optics are super sharp especially in low light, very accurate and compact, magnetic flap on pouch noisy if not careful, red rectical is bright with three levels but a little hard to see in bright conditions. Best rangefinder for the money!

Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x40 Riflescope (Matte, BDC) Review

I mounted this 3-9X40 with the BDC on my Remington 7mm using Tully one piece base/ring mounts.Very nice optic and great price here on Amazon.After sighting in I wish I jumped up to a bit higher magnification for using it with a magnum rifle.The BDC is suppose to be sighted in at 200 for it to work the way it should. However with a 3-9 magnification it can be a bit tricky to get it spot on and then consistently placing your shots at 300+ with only a 3-9 can be a little tough.It's definitely a quality scope for the price though.
