This waterbottle is build like a tank!Dont worry about denting this bottle or breaking the cap.I own a Klean Kanteen and this waterbottle is good, but has dented a little too easily.We go backpacking fairly often and it would suffice as an alternative vessel for boiling water in or cooking a meal in. The lid is cinched on the bottle with a cord and is secure, but comes off easily if needed. Great bottle for ultra-lighters who could use this for a few different purposes.

The only two drawbacks that I have seen are sort of related. When I initially got this water bottle, there was a lot of metal dust still on the inside of the container. Had thrown it in the dish washer but I actually had to do some scrubbing to get this off.

The second problem I ran into was when I have washed it in the dish washer.The upper rim of the bottle where it curves to meet the mouth actually holds water on the inside.I couldn't figure out why my bottle smelled like the dishwasher for about a month. One day after I took it out of the dishwasher I noticed water dripping from the inside of the bottle when I moved it.I stuck my finger up inside and sure enough there was water pooled around this rim with little particles of food there.

The extra care for the cleaning doesn't make this a bad bottle, just thought that this would have been somethign that engineers would have picked up on the design.Just use a towel and dry this after it is has been in the dish washer.

Overall, I like this bottle and know that it will last for many years to come.

It works with standard Nalgene lids, mouth inserts, and MSR water filtration systems that screw onto Nalgene bottles.
